Employee Import / Export

The initial adding of employees during the implementation process normally uses the Import process that uses an Excel spreadsheet (version '97 thru 2003), or .CSV file to import employees into Monet. Once the initial import of employees is done, adding new employees is accomplished with the Maintaining the Employee List process.

Create an Import Spreadsheet

Create an .xls Excel spreadsheet (format 97-2003), or .CSV file to import agent information into Monet with the mandatory and optional fields. 

Required Employee Import Fields

The following items are required when creating an Employee Import spreadsheet or .CSV file:

NOTE: Each item must be entered into separate columns as follows: Last Name, First Name, Agent ID

Optional Employee Import Fields

NOTE: Export your current employee list to see the full list of optional fields to import.

Access Employee Import

  1. Select Employees from the left-navigation menu.

  2. Select Employee List.

  3. Select the Import button located at the bottom of the screen.

Import Employees

NOTE: When importing the file verify that the active Workgroup is correct. 

  1. Select the file to import using the Choose File button.
NOTE: The Integration ID field is for importing multiple data collector integration IDs.
  1. Select Next.

Review Employee Import

  1. Review the Import Value column on the left to verify that all the fields appear in the list.

NOTE: Some of the Import Values may have mapped automatically.
  1. Select a Template from the workgroup you are importing this file to from the drop-down menu.
NOTE: Select Automap if the header row matches the Monet Field (i.e., Last Name = Last Name).
  1. Select the Import Value from the left side of the screen, and select the Monet Field from the right-hand side of the screen if a field did not map correctly.
  2. Select Map >.
  3. Select a value in the right-hand column and then select < Unmap to remove an import value.
  4. Check the box First row is header if the file imported has a header for the columns.
  5. Select the Update existing employees with matching ID check box if changes were made to an existing employee.
  6. Select Validate to begin the import process.

Export Employee List

The Employee Export will capture information about all of your agents associated with the active Workgroup. The following information is exported in Excel 97-2003 format.

  1. Select Employees from the left-navigation menu.
  2. Select Employee List.
  3. Select the Export button located at the bottom of the screen.
