For this assignment, you will complete an exam on the topics covered in Units 1-3, specifically the introductory material, Jonah, Hosea, Amos, Micah, and Isaiah.
1. Review the readings and lectures for Units 1-3.
Focus on the Bible as elaborated by the class materials. The lectures/course notes represent what your faculty member considers to be most important.
To prepare for the exam's multiple-choice questions, be sure you understand the introductory issues, basic themes, and important events of each book of the Bible covered to this point. Ask yourself, "What are the five to six most important topics/themes from each book?" Hint: make sure you can answer the Guiding Questions for each unit.
When responding to the exam's essay questions, write in a way that gets straight to the point and answer each question as asked. If the question asks for three examples, give at least three. If it asks you to highlight themes and events, do so. Don't spend too much time summarizing, or you will not have enough time to answer the question well. At the same time, don't list only bare facts and/or leave just a skeleton.
2. Log in to the Assyrian Period Exam with the Test.com username and password provided to you by your faculty member.
3. Answer the exam questions. You will have 40 minutes to complete the multiple choice section and 60 minutes to complete the essay section. The multiple choice section is closed book/notes; the essay section is open book/notes.
